Ziwani BARRED SUSSEX layer programme is very popular for Kienyeji eggs production and as attractively coloured layer for free range and commercial production. We have the parent stock, therefore you will be getting the F1.
This bird is highly adapted for sub-optimal and harsh production conditions for extensive, perfect for Sub-Sahara Africa. Free range small scale farming by our customers in all over East Africa
The characteristic of this programme is high egg productivity of about 300 brown shell eggs (if they are feed commercial layer feeds).
Sexing
Ziwani BARRED SUSSEX is result of crossing Rhode Island Red BARED paternal stock with our Sussex maternal stock. Day old chicks are colours sexed. Day old cockerel chicks are white (silver) and day old hen chicks are brown.
We are only selling Day old chicks in the above breeds at a very friendly cost of Ksh100 each for strain run (as they come from the incubator) or Ksh120 for sexed chicks, therefore is you want to select the number of females and males the cost would be Ksh120 ($1.2).
